Run Wales, the Welsh Athletics social running programme have made a number of guides available perfect for beginners looking to train for the Cardiff Bay Run. Kick start your training with one of the guides, available to download below!

GROUP RUNNING

5K TRAINING PROGRAMME

This programme from Run Wales, is designed for those new to or returning to running – looking to get up to the 5k/parkrun distance. This programme has the perfect mix of walking and running activities to help you achieve your goal, or just to help you get fit! Click here to download.

10K TRAINING PROGRAMME

This Run Wales programme is for you if you are new to running and want to train for a 10k (6 mile) run/race. We advise that before you embark on this programme, you have completed the beginner 5K programme and are able to walk/run 5km (3 miles) in 40 mins or less. Click here to download.
