A 10K race around Cardiff Bay

Information For Elites

The Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run (10K) welcomes entries from elite athletes who have met the qualifying criteria.

Qualifying Criteria

You can claim a free entry  if you have achieved the times below in 2017, 2018 or 2019;

Men (Sub 32Minutes)
Women (Sub 37 Minutes)

Prize Money

We have an increased prize fund in place for 2019 as follows;

Position Prize Money for Men & Women
1st £800
2nd £500
3rd £300
4th £100
5th £75

There will also be a course record bonus of £300 available for breaking the course records below;

Men: Dewi Griffiths (2017) – 29:08
Women: Eleanor Davis (2018) – 33:42

Masters Prizes

There are also kit prizes for master athletes as follows; M35, M45, M55, M65+, MW35, MW45, MW55, MW65+

Run 4 Wales Series

The following races make up the 2019 Run 4 Wales 10km Series;

Sunday 31st March Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run
Sunday 5th May ABP Newport Wales 10k
Sunday 7th July Healthspan Porthcawl 10k
Sunday 4th August Barry Island 10k

Athletes will be scored using cumulative time from their best three performances.

The following overall series prize money will be available;

Position Prize Money for Men & Women
1st £300
2nd £200
3rd £100
4th £75
5th £50

There are also kit prizes for master athletes as follows; M35, M45, M55, M65+, MW35, MW45, MW55, MW65+
