A 10K race around Cardiff Bay

Final Calling for Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run Places

Time is running out for those who want to challenge themselves at the 2018 Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run.

The race for the final few places is on as entries continue to fly out for Wales’ fastest growing 10K race, which takes place on Sunday 25 March. If the flat, fast, family friendly route with the stunning backdrop of Cardiff’s historic Bay was not a good enough reason to get involved, entry starts at only £22.

The deadline for entires for the 2018 Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run is on 25th February – or when they sell out – whichever comes first. Runners are urged to Register now to avoid disappointment.

Brecon Carreg are the new title sponsor of the popular 10K race. The Welsh water brand, who have kept hundreds of thousands of runners hydrated at Run 4 Wales events, are celebrating their 40th anniversary in style at this year’s event.

There’s also an opportunity to join the 5,500 competitors without paying a penny thanks to lead charity partner Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The UK’s leading Cystic Fibrosis charity want runners to join Team CF to raise vital funds that will help beat the genetic condition.

Run 4 Wales Chief Executive Matt Newman said: “The Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run has grown to become one of the Welsh capital’s most popular 10K races. March 25 can’t come quick enough as we prepare to welcome runners of all ages and abilities to the iconic setting of Cardiff Bay.

“Spaces are limited, so if you want to be a part of our celebration of running waste no time in signing up.”

It’s not just the 10K people are coming to Cardiff Bay for. Families can get involved in the 2K Family Fun Run, starting out at £5 for individuals or a discounted £15 for groups of 4.

The race village, located in Roald Dahl Plass where runners will start and finish, will offer a whole host of food options, live music and family-friendly entertainment.
