The information below refers to the 2021 event. 2022 information will be updated in due course.

Location: Roald Dahl Plass, Cardiff Bay.

Date & Time: Sunday 26 September 2021. The 10K begins at 10:00am, the Family Fun Run begins at 1:00pm.

Race Pack and Number: Your race number and a race day guide will be posted to you within a week of the race. Your pack will include a running bib, with a unique race number. It’s vital that you keep this safe as a timing chip (which enables us to give you your finishing time) is embedded into all 10K race numbers – which cannot be reissued. Please pin the number to the front of your t-shirt on race day, and remember to complete the medical information on the back of your race number. This is VERY important.

COVID Safety: The 2021 race will be delivered as a ‘Breathable Event’ – providing a great event day experience and atmosphere with a focus on responsibility and safety. A number of measures will be in place to protect the health and safety of participants, event staff, volunteers and the wider public – but we need your help to ensure a safe experience for everybody! Read our COVID Safety Guide and see what measures will be in place to ensure your safety.

Elite Entry: Click here for more information on Elite Place qualifying times.

Corporate Challenge: Click here to find out more about our Corporate Packages.

Wheelchairs & Buggies: Entry is open to wheelchairs in both the 10k and Family Fun Run. Buggies are permitted in the Fun Run only.

What’s Included: 10K race entry includes a finishers medal, technical race t-shirt and live tracking through the Run 4 Wales app. Family Fun Run entry includes a commemorative medal. Medals (both races) and t-shirts (10K only) will be distributed at the finish line of your race.

Travel & Parking
Cardiff Bay is easily accessible by car, foot or public transport. It’s a 20 minute walk from the City Centre and is served by regular buses. Competitors will find ample parking available in the City Centre. We do not suggest driving in to Cardiff Bay to avoid congestion to the highway. We do not have access to parking at the County Hall in 2021. Click here for more information.

Bag storage is situated behind the Pierhead Building, and will be open from 8:00am. Tear of the baggage label strip on the bottom of your 10K race number and attach it to your bag before you arrive.

10K Race Start
The 10km race starts on the Northbound Carriageway of Lloyd George Avenue, near Roald Dahl Plass. The solid colour (either white, green, red, blue or yellow) behind the number on your running bib will dictate which starting pen you must assemble in before the race. To avoid confusion on the day it is vital that you look at the Venue Map in the Race Day Guide (below) for details on how to access your starting pen. Pens will open at 9:45am.

2K Race Start
The 2K Family Fun Run will begin at 1:00pm from the start line on Lloyd George Avenue. Under 8s must be accomanied by an adult.

Health and Safety
Our 10K route takes place on fully closed roads, but competitors should be aware of their surroundings and listen out for marshal’s instructions for their own health and safety. Trip hazards, such as speed bumps will be clearly signposted but please keep an eye out!

Download the Run 4 Wales App
Available on iOS and Android, the Run 4 Wales App lets you track participants on race day, view live results and more.

A big team of #ExtraMilers will be giving up their own time on race day to ensure you have an unforgettable day.

Looking for a new personal best? Our pacers will be running at 45, 60 and 75 minutes to help you keep track of your time. Look out for them in your start wave.
