We have been closely monitoring the situation surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak and guidance issued by the Welsh and UK Government’s, whilst making arrangements to deliver a COVID secure event on Sunday 15 November.
We have watched with optimism over the summer months as lockdown restrictions have eased and more recently, as a number of successful pilots across the UK have demonstrated that it is possible to safely deliver mass participation events.
It is now clear however, that against a backdrop of rising cases, local lockdowns and the reimposition of some restrictions that it will not be possible to deliver an event of this scale within current Welsh Government guidelines and the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run will need to be postponed to ensure the safety of all participants.
The 2020 edition, which was originally set to take place on 29 March 2020 before being postponed until November at the start of the pandemic, will now take place on Sunday 23 May 2021.
We know that many of you will have been training hard, or looking forward to attending a mass participation event in Wales after witnessing the successful return of road running in other parts of the UK, but we respect the cautious approach of the Welsh Government and look forward to working with them as we continue to plan towards a safe return of events over the coming months.
There are a number of options available to runners who were registered for the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay on Sunday 15 November (initially scheduled for 29 March 2020).
Every runner with a place will be able to use it in the rescheduled event on Sunday 23 May 2021. There are also a number of additional options available depending on the type of entry you have.

You can check if you are registered or the type of entry you have by logging into the MyEvents portal using the email address and password you created when signing up.

- Individual Entry (General, Affiliated, Multi Event Pass or 2K Family Fun Run)
- Charity Entry (Registering via a partner charity)
- Corporate, Sponsor or Discount Code Entry
