A 10K race around Cardiff Bay

2019 Medal & TShirt Designs Unveiled

The designs of the 2019 Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run 10K finishers medal and t-shirt will celebrate the iconic Norwegian Church that runners pass twice on their 10K journey.

2K Runners can look forward to a commemorative medal that celebrates Brecon Carreg’s #SaveTheMermaid campaign, which raises awareness of the fight against plastic waste.

The event, the first in the Healthspan Wales 10K Series for 2019 returns to Cardiff Bay this Sunday 31st March. Amongst a stellar elite field expected on Sunday is Norway international Maria Waagen, who will enjoy a taste of her homeland when the race passes the Norwegian Church and as she watches up to 6,000 runners collect their commemorative t-shirts and finishers medals.

The Mother’s Day run is the first major race on the running calendar in Wales for 2019 and has become one of the countries most popular 10K events. The flat, fast and scenic 10K course will begin in Roald Dahl Plass before taking in landmarks like the Wales Millennium Centre, Pierhead Building and Cardiff Bay Barrage. Masses of charity fundraisers and runners aiming to break their own personal bests will be joined by a fiercely contested elite race as they enjoy panoramic views across Cardiff Bay and the Bristol Channel

Both 10K and 2K Family races are totally sold out, with no entries available on the day.
