A 10K race around Cardiff Bay

10 reasons to enter the 10K

10 reasons to enter the 10K, that’s 1 reason for every K, making it well worth the training! Here, we detail why you might be entering this year’s Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run and, if you haven’t signed up already, give you a reason to register!

1. The flat and fast course

This course is a particularly flat one, meaning runners of all abilities can genuinely push themselves for PBs and clock good times.

2. The iconic Cardiff Bay landmarks

Starting in Roald Dahl Plass, the route takes in everything Cardiff Bay has to offer, from the beautiful Pierhead Building and Norwegian Church to Senedd and the Millennium Centre.

3. Putting a spring in your step

This might be your first competitive race of 2018, giving you a helpful nudge in the right direction to achieve all of your 2018 fitness goals and ambitions.

4. Entry from just £22

Entries as affordable as this make the run one of Cardiff’s best value road races. Entrants affiliated to a UKA running club will benefit from discounted prices. There’s also a discounted season ticket available for those signing up to Cardiff Bay, the ABP Newport Wales 10K (29th April) and Brecon Carreg Barry Island 10K (5th August).

5. More medals for your collection

Or perhaps the first of many. We’ve been working especially hard to make this one look great!

6. A technical finisher’s t-shirt

Every finisher will receive a free technical t-shirt to mark the occasion, from sportswear brand More Mile. We’re expecting to see many of you roaming the streets of Cardiff wearing yours with pride. Check out the design here!

7. A family day out

It’s not just the 10K people are coming to Cardiff Bay for. Families can get involved in the 2K Family Fun Run, starting out at £5 for individuals or a discounted £15 for groups of 4.

8. Being charitable

As always, charity is at the heart of this year’s event. Our Lead Charity Partner, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, are calling for runners to join Team CF and be part of something special.

9. Street food and live entertainment

The race village, located in Roald Dahl Plass where runners will start and finish, will offer a whole host of food options, live music and family-friendly entertainment.

10. The famous Cardiff atmosphere

The city has shown year after year that it is capable of creating the buzz to get runners over the finish line. For those looking to celebrate their achievements in style, you’ve found the place!

Entries for the 2018 Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run will close on 26th February – or when they sell out – whichever comes first. Register now to avoid disappointment!
